I saw these the other day and they seem like a pretty solid deal for some solid drives:

There were also some cheaper at ~$289, but they sold out:

EU readers OWC will ship to the EU for a reasonable rate.

two of these comes out to this:
Sub-Total: $599.50 Shipping Insurance: $2.50 Cost of Delivery: $56.71 Duties & Taxes Pre-Paid: $130.62
Total: $789.33(USD)
Not to be rude, but I can buy these locally (new, not system pull - used) for 2449 DKK ~ 376 USD + shipping, so having them shipped to EU doesn't seem to make much sense.

Nothing rude about that. But maybe use a currency where the value is known. $ or € would be preferred. =)

The written word can be a troublesome thing, I find that when stating facts, people frequently read something negative into it that is not there, hence the "not to be rude" part :)

I think you missed this part (highlighted in bold):
2449 DKK ~ 376 USD + shipping

ahh i don't know what decent prices are these days then

790 usd to eur is roughly 700 eur so 350 for 18TB is good to me considering 18TB drives on amazon.de range from 350-550 EUR. And if these are quality drives then... then again these are system pulls so not quite a 1:1 with new-retail

Yeah, not so much of a deal when they're up to that price, but for the US peeps, pretty solid deal.

I think actually 311€ is the best price for this one.
But I'd buy the Toshiba drive at 288€ instead.
