Great deal. Torn between this and an R210 II with an E3-1240v2 for about the same price.

That was a great price. All gone now. I have bought from Ant online before and they are good seller. They must have been clearing out old inventory to make room for new.

These make great low power servers rivaling xeon-d for power consumption. The Z220 I am building for a file server idles at less than 20 watts.

Lenovo TS140 is identical to this Dell T20
I have 2 TS140 , 1 single T20 , + new T20 coming

Single TS140 E3-1225v3 , 4 x 8gb ram with 1 boot Sandisk SSD , 2 x S3500 800gb , 1 Intel 750 SSD , 1 Mellanox CX3 network card.

Window Server 2016 HA S2D cluster idle at 35w. (According to the not-so-accurate kill-a-watt meter)

I think the Proliant ML10 v2's are better.
Those come with a dedicated iLO4 port....which makes a LOAD of difference for homelabs, especially if you need to reload/change OS's.

These servers are pretty limited on how much ram you could put in them right? Because of udimms? Ts140, ml10, t20 etc...they don't seem practical for highly virtualized environments especially if I want to do a basic sharepoint farm.

32GB RAM limits for T20 / TS140 IIRC ..don't know about others.
Bang for buck .. brand new....great for homelabs and learning.

They sent me a freakin Dell Yellow Toner Cartridge by mistake.
I hope I eventually get the actual computer, because I have some UDIMMs just sitting around that will fit.

Yikes. If you click through to the listing, it's now for a yellow toner cartridge. Looks like maybe this one won't pan out.

Logic should prevail on this one hopefully. Nobody would pay $170 for a toner cartridge, so it's pretty clear it was their screw up. Whether or not the computers ship out, or a refund is given is the big question.

But it doesn't look good, UPS package is 1 pound.
Good that I have the order confirmation email with a Dell T20 picture in the order.
