FWIW: Noting, SATA drives only; and of those... the WD Ultrastar DC530's (WUH721414ALE6L4) have the lowest (actual/in field) reported failure rate (0.41%). The Seagate Exos X14's are the worst. If you want a Seagate, I would recommend the X16 version (same price). I don't have any reliability data on the X18's.
Since these have gone up in price there is probably less interest but for posterity these drives look and report as brand new: (it took me about 3 hours to get this to work and yes 2 power cycles)

Just received my order of 2 manufacturer recertified WUH721414ALE6L1 with a recertified date of 14 and 15 March 2023. SMART is wiped clean.

I ran Badblocks on all the drives, full disk write and read 4 times, 56TB write/read per drive, 6 days. the post check smart data shows:
0-3 "corrected EEC errors"
1,000 to 7,000 "correction algorithm invocations"
but the total uncorrected errors were all 0,
bad blocks reported no errors as it did not appear these "errors" actually left the drive.
I assume this is the drive controller doing its work and that it is not cause for concern?

Yeah, I'm not sure if it's worth saving $10 over the manufacturer recertified drives from serverpartsdeal.
Or one can just wait out another deal from serverpartsdeal and possibly get it at $115 for a 14TB manufacturer recertified drive.
How do these perform vs IBM 14TB 7.2K 12Gbps 256MB ST14000NM0048 according to https://www.seagate.com/www-content/datasheets/pdfs/exos-x-14-channel-DS1974-4-1812US-en_CA.pdf ST14000NM0048 have dual port so I should get that instead?
Dual port is for redundancy... Two separate controllers.
There is a way to configure both ports for a single connection called mpio, but it doesn't matter for a hard drive because their top speed is much slower than even single.port speed.

I personally go for Exos for higher storage ones like 18TB, and WD/HGST for lower ones like 10TB or 12TB. I dont really just want to stick to one brand.
