Worth noting that N100 cpu is only rated for ddr5 @ 4800. These Chinese boards don't have access to the ram profile on the sodimm (costs £££) so they scan the memory to try to work out the settings. Threads have also shown that sometimes they struggle with certain sodimm at 4800. Although your ram should downclock to 4800, it could be the memory scan isn't working out the best settings. Or the 5800 parts are too thirsty for the motherboard or cpu. You could check the memory settings in the bios, and even manually slow it to say 4400 just to see if it works better.Today I get a new ram stick (Crucial 16Gb 5800Mhz) and will do the test again with the new ram stick.

Its a 2 port connector, maybe only one is 3.0 and one is 2.0Does anyone know if on the purple board Front USB connector is USB 3 or USB 2? Specs document in translation says both USB2 and USB3.
In my JONSBO 3 case, I can see that it works only as USB 2.
Yes, that could be the case... it is only one port on JONSBO....Its a 2 port connector, maybe only one is 3.0 and one is 2.0
Thank you. I saw the same, but wasn't sure.Hi,
I have the purple n305. At least the system sees 2 busses. Front and Back.

Do you have a USB 3 SSD? Maybe it can't deliver the power required for a HDD.Hm, my back panel USB3 (blue port) doesn't really want to work with any USB3 devices.... Does anyone have the same issue?
If I plug in USB2 thumb drive – it works. If I plug USB3 HDD – it spins, but not recognised.
Good point. I indeed have one. Will check it tomorrow. Still strange though.Do you have a USB 3 SSD? Maybe it can't deliver the power required for a HDD.
Thought. Check the bios. On some motherboards there is a setting to force usb2/3 for compatibility reasons. I don't know if this has one, or if it works, but worth checking.Hm, my back panel USB3 (blue port) doesn't really want to work with any USB3 devices.... Does anyone have the same issue?

Dear, Barebone bundle had best to use Samsung, Skhynix ORIGINAL brand ram and storage(most of them are fake on aliexpress).
Suggest DO NOT use Kingston brand ram and storage that has bad compatibility.
Suggest DO NOT buy Barebone PC ("No Ram No Storage" bundle) if you are NOT IT technician.
Most bad reviews comes from barebone bundle purchasing, PC demands professional skill to assemble and debug.
We are afraid to see you suffer a bad shopping experience and DO NOT compensate for buyer's incompetent handling. Thanks for your kind understanding.
see, it is only your fault because you are incompetent not theirs for selling a bugged product ;-)@Lerk Seems like my AliExpress seller only recommends Samsung and Skhynix sticks.

Would you share the Part# ?see, it is only your fault because you are incompetent not theirs for selling a bugged product ;-)
it is not the 90s anymore, pc building was a nightmare then with how incompatible things were.
seller has a bad attitude.
They should at least specify what ram is compatible on their product page.
luckily at least for me, Corsair ram still works like a charm on the purple.
those were the timesWould you share the Part# ?
PS: I remember the nightmare of setting frequencies and multipliers through jumper settings on a DX2-66Mhz. And chances to fry it anytime. Lol
Thank you! It was indeed set to "Legacy". I've changed to Auto, and it got it working properly.Thought. Check the bios. On some motherboards there is a setting to force usb2/3 for compatibility reasons. I don't know if this has one, or if it works, but worth checking.
