Then I just googled and googled until I found this thread, reading it from start to the end.
I took a DP to HDMI dongle and connected my 7inch raspberrypi screen to the DP port and I finally saw the BIOS screen!!
At first I thought I received a dead board and thanks to this thread it was the HDMI-port.
Thanks!!
Glad to hear you could work around this too! Have you checked if your HDMI works after entering BIOS, loading default settings and saving them? It would be interesting to know if it is a common problem with the CW-ADLN-NAS that HDMI only works after entering the BIOS using a DisplayPort monitor once.

Well, I am clueless at what to do once again.....
I re-installed the Thermalright AXP90-X36, had to take out the copperplate screws to be able to use the backplate to fasten the cooler to it. The copperplate is being held down and squashed between the cpu and cooler and can't go anywhere.
Put it back on the motherboard tray and now I only get 1 beep and no signal what soever on the HDMI of DP-port...

Possibly pishing in the wind here... But there are several posts saying Corsair ram isn't compatible with either the Topton or the bkhd.

Frustrating. If it were me I would (first of all have an all out rage, break stuff) but then order a cheap 4gb stick of crucial or integral ddr 5 4800 and see if that helps.

Process of elimination time.

Seems to be that I also have to power off/on the screen after a reboot? Tested this and rebooted a couple of times after saving the settings in the BIOS and all worked fine (even with 32GB Vengeance).
But then I switched to the HDMI port to test itand all I got is flickering screen. So my guess is...BAD HDMI port!
I had my old 850W Coolermaster PSU running this at the very beginning, but all I ended up with auto-reboot after auto-reboot, so I switched to my 150W Pico-PSU using DP-port.
Not going to use that HDMI port again.

Had to clear the BIOS and reboot, all fine again!

I have attached a (bootable, as it contains truenas) SSD drive, BIOS sees it, but I can't seem to set is a boot-drive? As after reboot, the system ends backup in the BIOS.

Check BIOS, you might need to see if it can be enabled. A few people here have said that the HDMI port only works after setting up BIOS. It defaults to only DP.

can you recommend these motherboards or is it better to avoid them? After reading the whole topic I have conflicting feelings.
I'm looking for a replacement for asrock J4105 which consumes 14watts when idle (2x ssd and 3x HDD). Is it possible to have similar consumption with a board with N100?

For me biggest problem with my BKHD board is that it uses JMB585 controller that is not letting system to go bellow C3.

I don't see why it couldn't be done, although I haven't tried it. I'm waiting for a new PSU (cooler master MWE 400) to test the board properly.

I also am trying to get a N100 BKHD-1264 NAS board to boot from my existing SATA3-SSD (I don't have any M.2 drives). No luck so far, in BIOS I see it, but it won't display it in the boot device menu (F7 when booting).
Did you have any luck? I'd hate to buy an M2 drive just to boot the thing.

I have now 2 HDD's & 1 SSD attached with the N100 BKHD-1264 NAS board. Proxmox runs from a NVME drive. All sata ports (JMB585 controller) directly pass through to TrueNas Scale. So no need to stop pvestatd to get the HDD's in spindown. System idles around 18 watt. IMHO still to much to call this a low power friendly CPU/Board.

I idle at 18w with drives spun down . A lot better than my old ts140 (70w)... But not super low power. I have a n100 mini pc that idles at 7w

Have you tried to disable jmb585 controller? If so what’s the power consumption? Can it reach higher c states?

My BKHD board have c states enable by default, and unraid boot just fine without anything connected exept lan cable. Tomorrow or day after ill get new psu so ill test power consumption with and without jmb585 controller, so that i can decide will i buy m.2 asm1166 6 port adapter and run my nas like that

Keep us updated!

Btw are there any bios updates from these Chinese manufactures? Or is it possible to install custom bios?

No, I can not get it to boot to any of my devices. USB-drive (seen as a keyboard), SATA SSD (BIOS sees it) or NVME Drive (BIOS also sees it)...but none of them display in the Boot Override. I always end up in the BIOS.

Darn! My next step would also be to try booting from USB. I found the manufacturer's product page: BKHD-1264-NAS but even the user's manual did not help me, I didn't see anything I could be doing wrong.
