12gb/s SAS 3 products coming out now?

I know Patrick mentioned the ASRock Z87 with a SAS 3008 controller and hinted at a few more. I was viewing supermicro and saw this today:

Looks like these are trickling out. Chicken 'n Egg between controllers and drives but exciting.

Hope these do SATA 12gb/s too.

Yeah, seen a few popping up. Not sure of the need to be honest, sure SSD's could go even faster but at what cost (data integrity)?

Conventional SATA/SAS can't even get close to flogging out current techs.
