Can anybody suggest me some 10gbe motherboards, i have a system that i take to lans as a file server. It's just easeier than going out and buying a 10gbe nic, when i need a new motherboard anyways.

What about socket?
I'm kinda not really fussed, 1150 would be preferable, All it's for is file transfering at lans, and at home. I don't really know much about server boards etc, so im not sure what i want haha. atm i've got my m1015 with an expander in my gaming rig, but it's just making my pc to hot with the 15 drives in it and sas expander etc.

Socket is really important. One other idea is you can get a motherboard with a built-in SAS controller also. This is way more than you need but: http://www.servethehome.com/Server-detail/supermicro-x9drh-7tf-motherboard-review/

Another option is something like a http://www.servethehome.com/Server-...erboard-review-haswell-intel-xeon-e3-1200-v3/ and then adding in 10GbE. Sounds like you might be considering a point to point connection. If you wanted to go crazy: 40GbE http://forums.servethehome.com/sale...-connectx-3-40gbe-cards-56gbps-fdr-cable.html !
