10GBE Between ESXi Servers and Backup server without swithc

Good Day,
I need to find a way to get 10GBE Connection between by ESXi servers and backup server. Backup can easily pull 2-3gbs. All my esxi will do 1-2gb/s a second. The issue I have is that backups are taking too long. I am getting only 100-125mb for a lagged 1gbx2.
I want to find the cheapest or best way to do a 10gbe connection without switch.

Connect them directly to each other. At least I think that would work for your scenario.

Sorry to say this but ya 'gotta pay to play' I've said this a few times on these forums...2 hosts direct conn is ok/will work w/out too much trouble but 3+ hosts and a SAN and things start to get gnarly. Make life a whole LOT easier on yourself and just get a LB4M/Microtik (pair even better) and be done w/ it.

You can try infiniband with my opensm vib : Infiniband@home : votre homelab à 20Gbps - Hypervisor.fr
Works great for me.

Why are you backing up that much each time, Can't you do CBT? The subsequent backups shouldn't matter then.

How are you getting 2-3GB/sec now without 10GbE?

The only good and right way to do this, is with a switch. As someone else said, you have to pay to play...

True. I have 6 nics lagged. My biggest issue is that my backups are still running early into the morning

Fair enough on the current throughput but you have THAT much changed data per day on your incrementals?

I like to run full backups once a month about 2.9tb issue it takes long time. My current solution of 4-1gbe nics in lacp seems to have fixed my issues a bit. I am hoping to push for 10gbe but no cheap yet.
