Wow! That's tempting! I would probably buy it if I didn't just buy a supermicro 2.5" x 24 chassis.

Edit: For those that got them, this newegg review might be helpful:

Cons: Make sure the firmware is at 0106. The issue with the old firmware (0105) has to do with the drive going into and then coming out of Idle mode B. An over voltage condition can possibly occur which will damage the head on the drive. This damage can lead to an increased level of read errors.

0106 firmware fixes the issue in drives that have not yet failed but it does nothing for drives that have already failed and unfortunately there is no way to recover those drives.

Hope the drives are fine and healthy, think it's an affordable way filling up an 826 or 846/847.

Toshiba usually are nice drives, have some 2TB SATA running 24/7 without problems.
Seller also listed Lots of 10 with Seagate 2TB SAS for the same price.

My thoughts exactly! They are going to be put into service in an ex-coraid srx4200 36-bay 847 that I also found through this forum!

At some auctions i have been at, purchasing a lot of 10 would mean take the listed price and multiply by 10 times. So is this definitely 10 drives for a total of $299.99? Or $29.99 per drive?

Well, I paid €350 ish for the lot of ten drives including shipping and import charges. So around €35 per drive. Which is pretty good by EU standards.
