Hi team, anyone can share the latest (last??) HP Q6Q68A LTO-8 SAS Drive Firmware?
More specifically "LTO_30750_SAS_P381_MSL.frm"
Thanks!
PS: This is a good reason to move away from HPE to others like IBM => HPE paywalls firmware while others remain open
I'm in the market for a mini-ITX motherboard for a file server that I'm building. Essential requirements are:
Compatibility with Ubuntu Server 20.04 (doesn't have to be Ubuntu certified)
PCI-E 3.0 x16 slot - I intend to eventually run a tape drive (for periodic backups) off an ATTO H1244 card...
Finally nearing the time to drop some coin on hardware. One of the first things on the list is an LTO6 tape drive for an offline media archive and also for backup use.
I am wondering if there is any reason to choose one maker (ie IBM vs Quantum vs HP) or model over another. About the only...
I think I posted once in the past six months ago about other LTO users and got scarce responses... if anyone can suggest forums/places to go to better discuss this i'm all ears. I don't know where else to ask or to join to ask.
I'm planning on building a server dedicated to writing LTO6 tapes...
