Oh, I'm sure there is a way to do that. It's just Hitachi support doesn't want to share it for whatever reason. I sent them multiple emails and they never even replied which I think is disrespect to customer. :mad:
Tried Win 7 32-bit but Hitest freezes or complains that there is another drive on PCI card. Whatever................ Looks like nobody knows how to do it.
C'mon people. We know that you have firmware. Why not share? I send two emails to Hitachi support and never received reply.

Odditory, do you know where to get firmware for 3TB 7K3000 drives. Some of my drives manufactured in NOV2010 and some in JAN2011. Older drives have 3B0 and newer have 580. My concern is that I'm running them on LSI controller and I want all drives to be perfectly the same. Or there is nothing to...
I have 8GB of this memory (2X4GB) on X8SIL-F and it works perfectly. On Kingston website this one is listed as compatible with X8SIL.

I have LSI 9260-8i and planning on running RAID6 or RAID50 with 10-12 drives. Will my card support 3TB drives? Is it wise to go with 3TB at all? If not, should I go with proven old 7K2000 Hitachis or go for new 7K300 (unproven)? What about Samsungs 2TB (advanced format)? Do they play nicely...
