This is a set of new high-performance Fans from a GPU-enabled Dell PowerEdge T640 (they had 3 or 4 x 300W GPUs in it).
Those fans have double the min-max rpms of the regular Fans.
Dell T640 with those fans:
Same server 5 minutes later with the regular fans:
This is probably only of interest...
If you have a Dell T640 without the middle fan tray, you'll probably want this.
This is a spare I've had for over a year and it's sitting unused.
Asking 149USD + Shipping (Fedex Ground in America would work great unless you're in a hurry).
If you have a T640 server, you probably want this part...
The cards are new from July 2022.
They all have < 30Gb written as they were barely used. These cards have 8Pb endurance each.

Hi,
I shipped several Cisco-Branded HGST SN260 HHHL 3.83Tb PCIe cards (at the latest v122 firmware) to a friend of mine and his HPe ML350 Proliant Gen9 no longer POST. It results in a red screen of death (see picture). Has anyone seen that before and solved it on the Gne9's?
A friend of mine (also a T640 user) got those of these cards:

I recently got a couple HUSMR7638BHP3Y1´s ( 3.84Tb ) from ebay.. Things went fine during transport but when I got the drives, I had the displeasure to notice that:
1) they had a Cisco UCS firmware (I had previously obtain HGST firmwares).
2) the v111 firmware was too old and did not work in my...
I upgraded to 2.8.3 a working Dell T140 with a Xeon and 4 x 32G DDR4 2933 UDIMM memory this morning.
I was greeted by:
I'm attempting to roll back to 2.7.1 at the moment.
I guess they (Dell) took Offense at us calling them bluff on T140's with 128G memory and Xeons.
I'm done with them, Lenovo...
Hello,
This is Vincent, your crazy Dell Servers-as-workStations subversion freak. :)
I like my T140 and unlike the bigger brothers, it mostly tolerates 3rd-party stuff way better.
I've been thinking of getting another one and placing my 3080 Ti in it.
Of course, since the 3080 Ti is a wattage...
This is something I am not experiencing with my other 14th gen (a T140).
When Dell took away from us (end-users) the ability to control Fans in iDRAC 3.34.34.34, I hoped they would at least get it right but it appears that they got in wrong (most of the time) with both SUPPORTED and UNSUPPORTED...
I recently got one more HGST 7.68Tb SAS SSDs SS200
I thought I was going to be good with the firmware that HGST had provided me earlier for another HGST-driver but it appears that this unit (SDLL1HLR076T5CHS vs SDLL1HLR076T5CCA1) does have OEM firmware which I -think- is from Huawei:
Vendor...
I recently got into an email argument with a Dell escalation manager about $subject.
I'm posting here to raise awareness. It seems Dell thinks it's 100% OK to lie about 3rd party FRUs. (answer: It's not OK and it's not the right thing to do).
Having obtained some (almost unused) shiny HGST...
This is turning into a sh**t show of how pathetic this industry is turning.
Quick recap:
Any iDRAC update after 5.00.yy.z bricks my Dell PowerEdge T640 if the two Dell-Banded HGST NVMe drives are present in the system.

- Case opened with Dell support.

Hi,
I have a few of these (all on KNGND101) and I can see signs of more recent firmwares in a few places, e.g:
https://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/detail.php?deviceCategory=io&productid=44411
(says KNGND110).
I'm researching a failure to boot with iDRAC >= 5.00.yy.z if those drives...
This is related to the Dell PoweEdge t140
If my Math is correct, 8 x consumer SSDs should pull less power than 4 x 3.5HDDs.
With the current cabling in the T140, only one SFF port on my H730P is used.
I was able to buy a 2nd SAS/SATA x 4 cable that I will connect to the 2nd port of my H730P...
Hi all,
I have a Dell T140 and this thing has been running like a champ with my 8C/16T E-2278G.
The 95W heatsink for the T140 seems unobtainable outside of Asia.. does anyone know
of a heatsink which would fit (and on which I could retrofit the current cpu fan)?
The socket is 1151 but in typical...
I bought this 2400W PSU for my T630 think it would accept it even if I stayed low on the voltage.
Result: It works in my T640 but not in my T630 (it doesn't even powerup).
On 110V, the 2400W PSU is the only PSU which provides -more- wattage than the 1100W PSU...
For sale (these sticks were in my Dell PowerEdge T140):
4 x HMA82GU7CJR8N-VK / SuperMicro Server Memory Model MEM-DR416L-HL01-EU26
2666MHZ DDR4 ECC UDIMM 2xR8
Bought new from NewEgg in late 2019.
Asking Price:70USD/ea

The Dell T140 takes 4 DIMMs (ECC UDIMMs or regular DIMMs).
When the T140 was introduced, only 16G ECC UDIMM were available.
I'm considering the purchase of a T140 to replace a same-gen Precision T3431 that's already maxed out at 64G, I'd like to confirm if the T140 could go to 128G RAM with...
