Had a small TinyMiniMicro cluster that I'm cleaning out.
Payments via PayPal only. All prices include shipping to Continental USA. Would prefer not to deal with international shipping but can discuss.
Note prices are comparable to recent sales on eBay of systems with 16gb and small NVMe...
@newabc originally posted this in the long thread about the Topton fanless firewall boxes. But I think it is interesting enough to have its own thread (to make it more searchable).
Lots on compromises on this one but lots to like as well. The price for early-bird kickstarter supporters is...
Just wanted to vent.
I needed a few cheap NVMe SSDs for a little project. They didn't need to be high performance or anything as they were being installed onto a DeskPi-6 cluster and each drive is only connected PCIe 2.0 x1.
I bought 3 Crucial P3 500GB m.2 NVMe drives (CT500P3SSD8) off...

This one is cute. Lots of possibilities beyond just a NAS if you can open the BIOS and boot something other than QNAPs OS on it.
J4105 low power CPU, 4 SATA m.2 slots, N-Base-T (10/5/2.5/1 gbe support). Really solid packaging.
The J4105 CPU continues the tradition of Intel’s J-series, spec’d...
ALL GONE pending pickup.
I have 12 older 3.5" hard drives available. All tested and wiped, guaranteed working with reasonable SMART data (no unrecoverable errors, only very small numbers of reallocated sectors, etc).
I'll gladly donate them to anyone with a decent use for them. They've just...
Deleted sold items to make it a bit more clear...
I have 16 (4 remaining) SuperMicro chassis that have been used for various versions of my home lab.
Unfortunately I don't have shipping boxes suitable for them so I'm offering Local Pickup or I'll deliver in the SF Bay Area only.
Preferred...
Curious if anyone know the SM part number or may have a lead on sourcing the nylon m.2 retaining clip similar to the one used on the SuperMicro X11SPM-TPF? Noticed when responding to @IamSpartacus's for sale ad - and I have a perfect use case for a couple of them.
Proxmox 5.3 is released. See here: Proxmox VE 5.3 released!
Biggest new feature for me is integration of CephFS, file storage on Ceph. Also lots of updates to the GUI, fine tuning of features, etc.
I "upgraded" a system by mistake last night doing routine maintenance. Didn't even notice I...
Looks like Hardkernel will be releasing an x86 Odroid maker board next month. Lots of open questions (especially about price) but this could be very interesting for small embedded projects, micro-clusters, or lots of other fun projects. I've toyed around with their ARM-based products for a...
I know there are lots of Mikrotik users here. A vulnerability in Winbox how allowed a new Botnet to spread...
The Mikrotik RouterOS-Based Botnet
It does appear to be at least partially mitigated in newer RouterOS versions. Mikrotik recommends running at least version 6.41.3
Offbeat question: does anyone know what switch chip is used on the Netgear GS110EMX switch? This is their new(ish) 8x Gbe + 2x "Multigig" (1/2.5/5/10 Gbe) copper switch.

I'm doing a demo/teaching project with a small pile of Odriods. I've got it all built and am running with a small TP-Link un-managed switch. Part of the goal is to demo some more advanced network methods and I need vLAN support.
Looking for pointers to a small, 5-8 port GigE managed switch...
