That matches what the FAQ said, I didn’t think the board was converting to the two voltages needed for 3.5” drives. I think 2.5 drives would work though.
if they’d make a AR900i with this processor that would be very interesting. Perhaps without the MXM board the power usage wouldn’t be as high...
From the FAQ on the website:
If I’m using a NAS with more than two 3.5 disks (I’m thinking 4-5), I’d be wondering if i this would be able to power the additional drives (given a powerful enough input power source)
There are 13th generation processors that come with ddr5 from what I can tell.
I had gotten some information from the E-Global store, and linked that in my post here:

Does the X1314 allow for CPU undervolting?
I'm thinking of pairing this with a 13600K, and know these chips can run hot.
I've read that undervolting the chip can help reduce the temps, but not sure if industrial boards like these from ASRock support undervolting.
They're cheaper too, I see a bunch of add in cards on aliexpress that 1/2/4 ports and the intel ones are always slightly more expensive. More concerning is that the intel ones always seem to have the i225v3
I want one intel nic for vPro/AMT, If the second nic was a realtek nic that would be...
You're right, I didn't know that it was a v3 chipset. I just assumed that since it would be insane in my mind to sell current boards with the older revisions.
The IMB-1230 should be cheaper. The H610 chipset doesn't support vPRO, has half the number of pcie lanes and a couple of other...
I stumbled upon the ASRock Insdustrial Roadmap for 2H 2023.
Looks like samples for the IMB-1238 are supposed to be ready in Aug.
Looks like we might actually be able to buy it by late this year.
Found another ASUS board, this one based on the Q670 chipset.
Asus Q670-IM-A - ~$290. No ECC. i210AT and i225LM for 1G and 2.5G ethernet. 4 SATA ports. PCIE 5.0 x16 slot.
Got a quote on the AValue EMX-R680P . $380.
Would probably go with this if I was going to virtualize my router, but for now...
Got some pricing information on the previous two boards.
Asus R680EI-IM-A - ~$290 (on provantage.com)
AValue EMX-R680P - Got a quote for $380 from a representative. Would work well if I was going to use this as a router as well, but I think I'm going keep my router on a separate physical machine.
Found two more mini-itx boards that look very interesting.
Asus R680EI-IM-A - PCIE 5.0, ECC RAM, i210 Gigabit Ethernet, i226 2.5G Ethernet. 4 SATA ports. R680E Chipset
AValue EMX-R680P - 4(!) i226LM/V 2.5G ports. 2 SATA ports, R680E Chipset (but no ECC according to the specs). 2x M.2 PCIE Gen...
Has anyone here looked at either of these motherboards?
GigaIPC mITX-Q67EB
ASRock Industrial IMB-1231
Both are on the Q670 chipset, and support vPro. When paired with a i5-13500K vPro AMT should work.
Seems like a great board to build a multi-function NAS/Router/Plex Host with.
Any reason to...
I think there is a 4 Pin ATX connector on the board, so you probably don't need to get a DC connector.
I was wondering how grounding the Green wire to would work. It would certainly make the PSU provide power, does it matter that there is no way to indicate that it should turn on/off like when...
I was going to use an ASM1166 based m.2 to SATA convertor. You could also use a JMB585 based chip, both seem to be pretty well supported. This Unraid post suggests boards based on these chips. No port multipliesrs were going to be used.
Here's a link to one at Amazon, and a similar one at...
This is the link to the store/product where I had got my questions answered.
