Any success stories flashing the M1015 with an Asus P8B WS (or a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R :D - all I have available)? From what I've read, flashing it yields some kind of PAL error on certain motherboards?

Good stuff! Did you try to pass through all those cards at the same time? Also, any chance you could post your dmidecode output? There's been some discussion on ECC with this board.

I'll be waiting anxiously for your results. Been considering a similar ESXi build with 4x LSI SAS 2008 cards passed through myself. I'm either going for the X9SCM-F or the Asus P8B WS, so your test results will be very helpful!
Has anyone found any proper reviews for the Intel S1200BTL?
It's in interesting board that I'm considering for a potential all-in-one conf with the ESXi + Solaris data store on a PCI RAID1 card. Then I could pass through the onboard SATA + PCIe devices (4 of them!) to the Solaris VM.
Has anyone actually tested running 8GB RDIMMs in any of the C20x boards?
I'd really like 32GB to spread across my VMs instead of only 16GB. After some googling I found this:
