    New Micron 7400 PRO 7.68TB NVMe U.3 (7mm) Non-SED Enterprise SSD - $349

There simply will be less good deals posted if you require payment to see the forum. Enable email notifications if you're concerned about missing deals. Don't think making the forum registered users only would do much either although might reduce the amount of spam threads we get...

    New Micron 7400 PRO 7.68TB NVMe U.3 (7mm) Non-SED Enterprise SSD - $349

Yeah I have used forwarders too, rough calculation that after shipping and import duties I'd be paying £350 a drive which isn't a *great* bargain. NVME prices seem to be going up though

AMD EPYC 7551 32 core 64 thread cpu for $75 or less

These have really come down in price lol, I paid £350/chip a few years ago... guess it's approaching e-waste territory.

    Lack of CSE 846 chasis

BPN-SAS3-846EL1-N8 can be obtained from supermicro through resellers, they seem to have them a little more available. However they are 800+ euro.

UK 15.36TB Samsung PM1733 NVMe SSDs for £389.99, plus other bits from the same seller

Yeah I paid more than this per 4TB drive a year ago. Wtf is this market?

UK 15.36TB Samsung PM1733 NVMe SSDs for £389.99, plus other bits from the same seller

Apparently the firmware locks them to pcie gen 3 speeds, maybe this can be flashed? Still an amazing deal and the seller said the drives are nearly brand new.

Dual EPYC + Supermicro H12DSi-N6 installation problems

Maybe https://www.amazon.com/Highpoint-TS8i-8639-060-SFF-8654-SFF-8639-Connector/dp/B08WJYM7ZT Sometimes these slimsas cables don't work properly because they only support SATA and not pcie 4.0

AMD Epyc Bergamo / Genoa (9734/9534) for ~40% of MSRP (and "free" mboard) @ NewEgg (2023/07/16)

I don't think anything that requires DDR5 at the moment is "economical".

    Best value SAS3 JBOD chassis?

In terms of noise? Home preferably.

    Best value SAS3 JBOD chassis?

Would also work but I assume not be cheaper.

    Best value SAS3 JBOD chassis?

What's the best value SAS3 chassis for 40+ disks? Something modern, not too power hungry, well supported and has remote IPMI to turn off/on? CSE-847E1C-R1K23JBOD fits the bill but is £1500, anything better value out there?

    UK [WTB] Supermicro BPN-SAS3-LA26A-N12

I'm not sure supermicro are shipping the chassis either at the moment and are only shipping full system builds. That is what I've heard anyway. Plus the chassis is about $1200 alone which I'd rather not spend if I can avoid it. Backplane is only $400.

    UK 64GB DDR4 2933 ECC RDIMM £258

I paid £80 a stick for 64GB 3200MHz about 2 weeks ago (seller is out of stock, sorry). There are much better deals. Search by part number instead of size/capacity for the best deals.
