Ok. I'm really interested in the L5630 unit with 3.5" trays. Here's the deciding factor for me: is there anywhere internal to add 1 or 2 additional drives? 2.5 or 3.5 is fine and they don't need to be connected to the raid, straight sata to the mb is fine.

Connect the current spinners to the expander and the ssd directly to the raid card. The spinning disks won't hit the bandwidth limit.
