Thanks @RadarSplash for updating the bios trick. I was able to update bios using CH341a programmer. One issue is I cannot update the IMPI firmware, get an error of "can't downgrade to this update package" even though I'm on version BMC ver 03.88.00 and trying to go to 03.94, perhaps BMC...

Received a notice that they are out of stock of MZ-VLV256D and will be replacing it with MZ-FLV2560. I don't know the difference between the two and couldn't really find any info. The FLV2560 appears to associated with Surface book notebooks. I said fine, send the other version. I can't complain...
