USB 3.1 20 ping male to USB 3.0 female adapter

awesome idea! yes, that would be ideal versus chaining a whole bunch of cables together. still, pretty surprising that there's no direct cable that would solve this problem

LSI 9300-8i + 9207-8e in same chassis problem

So because only the first BIOS gets loaded for the 9305 indeed, the 9207 can't work ? Inside the 9305 BIOS there's no other adapter. To make this work I thus need a 9300-8e and upgrad my expansions to SAS3 ?

Tonight I was adding some hdds to my Supermicro 4U jbod and when I removed an empty tray from the back, I guess something touched somewhere because there was a yellow spark and the power supplies went offline. LSI 9300-8i + 9207-8e in same chassis problem

In the same X10DRi chassis I have a 9300-8i + 9207-8e cards. Is this supported ? When the system boots it shows just the 9300 Avago BIOS and in the adapter list it's just that one. No sign of the 9207 at all. The OS boots fine but it doesn't see the expansion chassis nor the drives inside it...

Hello, checking SM chassis for X11/X12 they all have max 16 bays x 2.5". I could get up to 24 bays with X10. Aka, this: SC213AC-R1K23LPB | 2U | Chassis | Products | Super Micro Computer, Inc. Which comes...in 2023 with ... optional dvd!! What am I missing here ? No way to get 24 x 2.5" with...

    X10DRI Max ram speed

I don't think so. I think these signs go together, for example: Cores / Cache Up to 24 cores / Up to 55MB† cache Note † BIOS version 2.0 or above is required So in this case you need Bios 2.0 for up to 55MB of Cache For the RAM speed, the same symbol is also a bit above...

Looking at this motherboard: https://www.supermicro.com/en/products/motherboard/X10DRi Does anyone know why there's an X next to 2400 mhz speed in the Ram description ? Memory Type 2400/2133/1866/1600MHz ECC DDR4 SDRAM 72-bit I checked the manual but there's no indication there

    X11SRM-F & W-2125 max ram

Ok, gotcha but then why does the original memory say: 2Rx4 ( 16Gb ). That almost reads like 16Gb per rank which is 32Gb whereas the stick has 64Gb

    X11SRM-F & W-2125 max ram

In regards to this explanation: 2Rx4 - 16Gb for a 64GB stick. Let me see if I get this right: That's dual rank x 4 chips per rank or 4 chips total ? I would assume total and then each chip is 16GB in size for a total capacity of 64Gb. However, looking at the memory stick visually, there's way...
