Windows 7 x64
I know that Dell equivalent controller supports LD spin down, but it's last update was 2014. I'm trying to see if Intel RS25DB080 supports LD spin down. they're last update was 2015.
The reason I ask is: I don't need my backup media array spinning for long periods of time...
I have a Dell Perc H810 which will be installed in a PCIe 2.0 x4 lane slot. The array will use 6 spinners (6Gbs).
Will there be plenty of bandwidth for the 6 drives or possibly 8 drives if I need to expand?
Is there a power down command line for spinning down only one array on a Dell Perc H810 (LSI 2208) ?
The controller and MSM wants to spindown all arrays. I just want the backup array to spindown.
Thanks in advance.
I wasn't aware I price it so low. I'm not familiar with Nvidia cards at all. I switched back to ATI cards because Nvidia was constantly nagging me with bloatware and updates for gaming. I don't game.
