Trying my luck here knowing it's not really the audience.
Have a bunch of 3090 Turbos for sale that I don't want to mix into the supply of 3 fan cards that have hit the market. Hopefully these will go to someone building a multi-card DL rig.
The 2-slot turbo design is perfect for servers and...
Seeing the 3090s absolutely crater in prices recently. At what price would you go trigger happy and stack them with NVLink? Considering the A6000s go for > $4000, would 2x3090 for $2000 be a sure buy?
Hello,
I'm planning to build a DL rig that is fully stacked with Turbo 3090s. Do I need to get a PSU with dual 4pins so that the board can supply enough power through PCIe since all the Turbo 3090s only have 2x8pin and draw more than 300W?
I'm also assuming I wouldn't be able to use a breakout...
Hello,
It seems the local Amazon is offering the 12TB D10s for lower $/TB than the $199 14TBs. Seems like a CM deal? Apparently they're supposed to contain HC550s outright and not that crappy white-label binned ones in the Easystores/Elements. Also seems like they have 3 years warranty on them...
So I saw this post in the deals forum.

Definitely great pricing for 5 years warranty on enterprise SSDs. Great. I can replace my ceph SSD tier (currently on HUSSL/SMLs) or my ZFS caches (currently on PM953s).
However, they're U2. All my servers are...
Picking up some of those $100 E5-2680v4s but looking for some cloud density 4 node in 2u chassis to dump them in.
Apparently there aren't any barebone listings on fleabay for C6320 so looking for any ideas/alternatives.
Too good to be true? Anyone with experience with OWC? Do they pack drives well?

Edit: Price increased to $348 now
Hello,
I have had the misfortune of purchasing Dell PSUs with the absolutely stupid LS-26 connector
I've been scouring places for LS-26 cables to splice into the standard C14 but I haven't been able to find any that has been in stock.
Anyone knows where I can find something I can use?
I...
Specs are almost similar to 3090s except for the VRAM size. Considering that most models were built for the 11GB 2080Ti, is the 3080Ti good enough?
Any experiences?
Hey all,
LGA 2011-3 was released 10 years ago but still remains highly viable in today's setups due to continued supply from off lease equipment. An E5-2678V3 that supports dual CPU architecture and cheap DDR3 memory modules goes for just $75 each. While the base clock speed seems unimpressive...
There have been reports about the 3090s being handicapped on the driver level by Nvidia for deep learning.
Can anyone with real world experience confirm if they're still worth the large bump in pricing over the 3080s?
If so, which models have the best circulation so that they don't face...
Hey guys,
Completely new to this so bear with the dumb questions.
My local Amazon drops 3080 Gaming X Trios in bulk daily @ MSRP. I have been able to scoop a handful of them up at that price and they ship out within a week.
At current prices it's supposed to return ~$200 a month after...
I'm very fearful of BIOS updates as I've bricked a motherboard before.
I purchased a Quanta D51B-2U that came with an older BIOS that does not support V4 CPUs. I have managed to find a V3 CPU and a couple of BIOS update packages with the required files to upgrade it to a supported BIOS. Quanta...
People are replying to threads from 2015/2016 and it's bumping them to the top of the list.
Maybe even set it up to move these expired deals to a different forum so people can continue discussing without giving others false hope?
r/DataHoarder says they contain 7200RPM Seagate Exos. Anyone has experience with the reliability of Exos?

So I've managed to secure a 3080. Wondering if I need to upgrade the rest of the hardware for this.
I intend on sticking it in a dual E5-2650V2 proxmox host that runs all the various other VMs for the homelab, with the GPU on passthrough. Way past EOL, yes but great because DDR3 is much...
