Picked up two the other day. Robust little units - built like a tank. They have 4 HDMI outputs for digital signage applications.
My units came with
i3-1115G4
8GB DDR4 in 2 SODIMMs
256GB Kingston m.2 SATA SSD
Dual Intel NICs (one I211, one I219-V)
VESA mount
Internal PSU w/ 3-pin cable...
I have some parts that need a good home. Just cover shipping.
16 x Supermicro 3.5" drive caddy (some have the dummy filler)
8 x Intel 2.5" drive caddy
4 x Supermicro FAN-0126L4
6 x Mini-SAS cable (SFF-8643 to SFF-8643, at least 24")
I'm actually taking my 3rd unit out of the rack soon. It has all 12 internal trays, so that would be 12 trays and three servers (which also have all 6 external 2.5" trays). Let me know if you are interested.
Last time I looked, the trays were not available anywhere.
PM me and I'll give you dimensions. Every time I ordered these from ebay they came in a franken-box. If you can point me at a good box we can make this work.
I can check, but at least a few years. They were in a ceph cluster.
No failed health checks when I took the cluster down. I can get better stats after I power them up. I actually have 12, but I know one was reporting errors. So I need to hunt that one down.

Supermicro SuperServer 2028TP-HC0TR $400
- 2U server w/ 4 nodes
- Dual LGA2011-3 sockets w/...
Looks like a SGI branded SM server, which explains the odd model number they used in the description.
Based on the pics it appears to be a 6018U-TR4+ which can do v4 E5-2600 CPUs and has 3 PCIe slots...

They really look like QSFP to me. After reading up on the EMC XtremIO platform, they are probably 40 gb InfiniBand links. Depending on the card, they might support ethernet.
I edited the title and the original post to reflect the ambiguity. Thanks!
No, this is the WT version which supports a different generation of E5-2600 - v3/v4 on the LGA2011-3 socket. The servers you linked max out at E5-2600 v2.
