    Lenovo S30 4351 2011 v2 cpu $190

You are right, it is for front panel USB3. Really, it is a better connector than the dense pin header of the normal USB3 front panel connectors but sadly proprietary.

    Lenovo S30 4351 2011 v2 cpu $190

You can tell the v2 boards by a few things. Here is a v1 board The board will say Rev 2.0 and the front panel connector uses a blade type connection not pins like normal. The FP connection makes it much harder to use in a different case.

Is there a single CPU config that is better than a dual E5-2690v2

The problem is the 2011 (for V1/V2) socket is dead is getting harder to find good boards for. CPU's and RAM are cheap though. 16GB ECC UDimms that seem to work great with Threadripper are about $200/ea (ouch). I just moved from a E5-2667 V2 with 64GB of 1600mzh ECC RDIMMS to a 1950X with 32GB...

Is there a single CPU config that is better than a dual E5-2690v2

1950X is almost a sidegrade you trade off a few cores for a stronger single core speed. A 2950X thread ripper is a bit ahead of the dual E5-2690 V2 for multi-core (~12%) and way ahead for single core (25%). PassMark - AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950X - Price performance comparison vs PassMark -...

    SOLD: E5-2667 V2, Supermicro 2011 Mobo & 64GB Ram

I would like to sell this as a package if possible to cut down on shipping cost. I have been using this setup in my unraid server, passing through a GPU and USB3 card to a VM for my daily driver. Only selling because I am moving up to a Threadripper setup. 1x E5-2667 V2 8-core processor 3.3Ghz...

The HP Z420 is a also great platform. It has a proprietary PSU but the adapter cable to a standard one is like $15 from amazon. The advantage over the S30 is more HDD/ODD expansion; 3 5.25 bays vs 2 so you can put in a 5x3.5 hotswap in it. You just have to make sure you get ones that work with...

    Cheap chinese x79 mobos

Worst part these guys want me to shoot a youtube video of it not working. I'm not wasting my time on that. As it was since it came with zero documentation I had to dig around to find the front panel IO to know which was for the power/reset, luckily that is somewhat standard across those boards.

Yes. I have been building computers for over 25 years and am very familiar with troubleshooting. I tried with 1,2 and 4 sticks of ram both ECC and non-ECC. Checked the CPU socket no bent pins, tried 2 CPUs (1 V1, 1 V2). Tried multiple video cards. All known good parts. It doesn't post. It is...
