I don't think you're an idiot. :D I don't see any reference to this either. If you're using Linux do the interface assignments give any clues? (I've lost track of what era we're in of interface naming being meaningful/not meaningful though.) Or you could populate one and then the other and look...

Oh, and - a Tiny7 riser card : https://github.com/qq8322302/P350Tiny-riser-card ... which gives you the 8x PCIe plus four (4!) m.2 slots, though low speed and one is SATA. And Tiny6 : https://github.com/qq8322302/Tiny6-P340-pcie-bifurcation-expansion-card And @WifiCable is working on a Tiny6...

I think there's some risks, it depends on the power draw, you can't get more than 75W out of the slot and you'll need to think about the heat and output of your power supply as well. The WiFi slot is only x1, also.

Hello Tiny friends, just to say after months of putting it off I've started the long journey to update the first post with more information from the thread. You should find I've clarified the riser situation and the configuration of the PCIe lanes, which I think is the most significant discovery...

I have no pointers to offer I'm afraid, just to unhelpfully confirm I have the same problem in a P350 as well. I wonder if it's a vendor firmware issue, because someone on Reddit said they had an x710 working in a P350. ETA so maybe I do have a pointer after all! But no idea if it's accurate.

Heyo. I'm still around, just lazy on the updates because my job has been significantly busy over the past couple of years. Splitting the post up into multiples covering the different Tiny gens (for example) would involve some complexity because there's a lot of commonality between the models...

And I assume you've followed the previous instructions and found your two m.2 slots okay? Just flip the unit over and slide out the bottom panel (the top cover must be removed first).

No. You can add a 2.5GbE (A-E key) NIC to the WiFi slot easily though. You need to use the PCIe slot if you want to add 10GbE cards. I'm using a single port PCIe 10GbE card with a Marvel controller, it's working very well so far.

If it's anything like the P350 it does hold a 2.5" drive, but I couldn't find a compatible caddy and I had to buy the SATA ribbon cable (it's really a laptop part, you can buy it off eBay - just make sure the cable has the right number of "wires" in it). You just have to allow the drive to "flop...

As I recall you either - just put it in as the only drive and boot. Once you've done that once, you can install all the other drives and it will continue to boot off the drive; or - make sure nothing is set as boot device, then boot.

I'm not entirely clear what you're asking. The m75q Gen2 does support GE processors, I have one; not sure about G.

An update on Aquantia (Marvell, nowadays) 10Gb NICs - I bought a Trendnet TEG-10GECSFP card (single port SFP+, with an RJ45 version available). The card itself is tiny and although I've not pushed it hard yet and it's early days, it seems to work fine in Ubuntu anyway. I replaced ConnectX-4s and...

Any PCIe card should work, as long as it fits (max length is in the first post). There won't be a compatible baffle unless you're lucky and the i350-T4 one is a match, but I've not seen one so I don't have measurements. You'll most likely need a 3D printer and make your own baffle, or you can...

[FS] Lenovo Tiny 10/25G Network Fan Shrouds

Space to spare, in fact! I've tried the x-3 and the x-4 - my frustration remains power management, the x-3 seems to keep the whole tiny in c-state 2 or worse, anecdotally the x-4 is able to support lower states with ASPM but I can't get it to do so. The x-5 and above returns to x-3 behaviour...

Having just played around with an Intel x710-DA2 in a P350 Tiny I can tell you that the 167mm I put in the Tiny reference thread as the maximum card length is absolutely the limit, it actually bends the bracket holding the WiFi antenna slightly. So perhaps bear that in mind too.

No, because we're taking about the internal SATA port here.

The plastic casing of the SSD. They are mostly air inside and the actual functioning bit of the SSD is almost always a small circuit board the width of the casing and maybe 3-4cm (about an inch to an inch and a half) long. You wrap it in electrical tape to stop it shorting something on the...
