    Wedge 400 48-Port

Ill tear mine down tomorrow afternoon and post some photos for you. As far as I can tell as of last time I tore it down I have everything intact minus the one module that I need to have made. From test fits it accepts a standard 2280 m.2 nvme with no issue.

    Celestica Silverstone DX400 32x 400GbE Switch - Information Requested

Ah thanks for the clarification. Should be a rather straight forward process then. Have you had the chance to get the switch up and running? Im still needing to source a dac and nic less I use a break out to 100g just for testing.

    Celestica Silverstone DX400 32x 400GbE Switch - Information Requested

I did do some digging a while back and found all of the exact chips that were set out by the schematics which may alleviate some of those issues with it needing 1gb. I may place an order for them and begin the process for myself when Im back from holiday in a couple of weeks. Also I think I...

    Celestica Silverstone DX400 32x 400GbE Switch - Information Requested

Awesome, I appreciate it. Looking at their website they offer design service based on schematics so that one in the ocp docs should suffice for that and save me the task of finding an EE. Ill either have to get setup again for soldering or see if they offer the service if chips and software are...

    Celestica Silverstone DX400 32x 400GbE Switch - Information Requested

Thanks for the information. I was planning on reaching out to a few EEs for getting the design made. Would you have any manufacturer that you would recommend? Also, on the software side, have you run into any difficulties loading the proper software onto it?

    Wedge 400 48-Port

Agreed I dont think it would matter either. I think it might be worth making a second prototype with an in production eMMC so that in the event it does work, cost is able to be reduced rather significantly while we dont have to worry about availability.

    Wedge 400 48-Port

Quite welcome. Its definitely been a fun project. Any assistance with project is greatly appreciated. I'll check my emails later this evening and get the file type the manufacturer requested for production as well as the links to all of the subcomponents. The most helpful thing at this point...

    Wedge 400 48-Port

So far in for trying to track down a bsm I have been mostly unsuccessful. I talked with a few helpful people at celestica who unfortunately didn't directly have any information but did give the names of a few that might. Additionally, I reached out to the email I came across on some of the...

    Celestica Silverstone DX400 32x 400GbE Switch - Information Requested

https://www.opencompute.org/documents/wedge400-ocp-specification-v0-3-pdf This may be enough to make a run of new BSMs. I also have located all of the chips that the design specs call for including the discontinued chip. In the other thread there is a pretty good set of information and...

    Wedge 400 48-Port

Thanks for providing all of this information. I know for the BSM it will be a huge long shot on whether there are any available for purchase. That being said over on another thread there was someone who had talked with a board mfg about making a run of them if better info could be obtained...

    Wedge 400 48-Port

First initial power on test went well. Everything not tied to the bmc lit up like they should. The comm ports showed activity when hooked up though I couldn't access it yet. I'm thinking next step just to test things out is preload Sonic on an m.2 and see if that allows some functionality. When...

    Wedge 400 48-Port

Right now I am still looking for the BSM and will probably give celestica a call. The unit that I have right now seems to be almost completely intact aside from the BSM. Ill tear it down and photograph everything that it is in it as well as all of the part number sticker on it and probably start...

    Wedge 400 48-Port

I know this is a pretty late reply but I've been bringing one back up to working state as well recently and may be able to shed some light on the connector type depending on one psu it has in it. I know from the information I've been able to dig up there are two different plug types. So for the...
