Thanks all! After an extensive search, I turned up empty handed unable to find a 2 port 10g NIC that sits on a x4 slot. I wish I had bought a mobo with dual 10g NIC built-in.

Thank you all for your responses. The reason for my question is that I'm trying to pack as many ports that I can on my motherboard which only has 1 free PCIe5 slot which is only x4. Your answers are helpful and valuable. Appreciate the help.

Turns out the cause for the reboot had nothing to do with the motherboard, but misconfigurations in Proxmox. I got the same board again and happy with it.

My motherboard is experiencing sudden and random restarts. Proxmox 8 logs do not show any traces of problems in the OS at the time of the restart. In the IPMI Web UI event log, there are no assertions indicating thermal issues. All sensors are showing good. The chassis has plenty of airflow...

Thanks for sharing your experience. Confirm Esxi 8 installed fine today. Don't understand why it didn't work 2 previous times. Well all is good now, with Esxi 8 and this board! Should consider adding this board to VMWare's HCL.

Great success with flashing firmware. However, when the PC wakes from sleep, it loses its IP address. Have to stop and restart the network interface for network connectivity to be restored. Using default drivers in Windows 11. Why is the card losing its IP address when PC wakes from sleep...
