I don't think this supports splitting down to 1x lane per port. You are probably better off with something like this for that use case: Pardon Our Interruption... (I have no experience with it though; other threads already exist discussing it).

That's not been my experience on the h12. I have had multiple modules just not even be recognized by the h12 while others with the exact same specs and same manufacturer work.

I think you need to look into the transfer time of these battery packages and see if it's appropriate for your equipment. It looks like some of them have gotten faster since I last looked into it. Still, they may not even be usable as a "dumb" UPS, depending on your needs.
