yeah there isnt a massive difference between the two, what I was interested in was mainly single core performance, as I intended to use the server as a pc too by disabling some of the extremely loud, non temp-controlled fans.

Umm not sure if I understood but afaik the g292-z20 has only pcie 4 unlike a few other variants that have pcie 3/4 mixed together
