Ok.. update, the aruba does support flow control, and I've enabled it... but it appears I must set the same configuration on the Unifi side of the connection for it to work properly? This is what the guide for the version of the OS I'm running says at least... and, in the CLI for the switch...

@kapone , thanks for replying. The upstream port is also 2.5Gbps (it's a cable modem from Comcast). I can actually do a speed test from my Unifi Router which sits directly behind the Comcast model and get ~2.3Gbps, so I am reasonably certain that this link in the chain is ok.

Yes the router reports 2.5 and the switch reports 10 so the SFP+ seems to be seen correctly on both sides … could it be that another SFP would perform better or is it more likely that this won’t work because the switch has no native 2.5 mode ? @RecursiveG - can I limit the switch to 2.5 if it...

Thanks for the reply. That’s what I did but in my case the SFP I’m using won’t pass more than ~1100 gbps. I’m not sure if the problem is the old switch (which doesn’t natively support a 2.5 option) or the SFP.

Hi all - I have an Asus Z9PR-D12 motherboard and just ordered the PIKE RAID card. I've seen them mentioned a few times on this board, but for reference, they're an add-on PCI card that goes in a special slot on this motherboard which then enables 8 SAS ports on the motherboard to be connected...

FYI, mine arrived today. Same specs as in the earlier post so the rest are probably going to be the same. The fan is a bit louder than I'd prefer, but definitely not a deal breaker as it's not going into my living room.
