Did you try masking the SMBus pins on the PCIe card? I've had to do that with my ConnectX-4 LX NIC in my gen5 Tiny to keep the system happy.

There's something about dropping packets that feels unlikely. Looking at your config, is there a reason why you have ``flow-control`` disabled for every interface? That looks a bit odd to me after comparing it to my switch configs.

I‘m not sure about the m90q, but these SODIMMs work just fine in a m920x. I have a pair running for a total of 64GB, albeit without ECC enabled (the i5-8500 in this box doesn’t support ECC).

I’ll add another big endorsement of VyOS. It’s Debian with a switch-like config interface, which is great if you don’t like maintaining individual config files across a Linux installation. Despite the CLI, VyOS hides *very* little, if anything, that would otherwise justify working directly...

It’s more likely they’re stuck in VPI/IB mode (I’ve had to manually switch mine over to ethernet mode). I haven’t had any transceiver compatibility issues with the Mellanox card itself, but it’s also possible that your Ubiquiti switch is picky
