YMMV ! I ran into a similar situation with an R6 on a 9361-8i (caused by a bad power cable). After changing the power cable, using MegaRaid Storage Manager (LSI Storage Authority also works) I changed the drives to "unconfigured good", selected "replace missing drive", then "make drive online"...

Sorry, I do not have any 9500-8i's, nor any LSI, Avago or Broadcom HBAs, so I can't give you specifics. But it should be covered in the User Guide for whatever LSA version you are using, and in the guide (or links to) that came with the card.

Using an Asus motherboard, you will find the configuration page(s) for the 9500-8i in the Asus bios pages in the storage section. Please point out on what page you think you see this?

9500-8i is a HBA adapter, not a RAID card.

FWIW - I can report that Windows Pro for Workstations 24H2 has no issues with W7 2475x and is faster than 23H2 on an Asrock W790 WS with the Power Plan set to Ultimate Performance and no "anti-lag Tweaks", if that is any help?

In that image can you not select "SAS Topology" and drill down to the bad drive and mark it "offline"?
