feeling real dumb right about now lol. yes i switched the ip of the pc im using to match the tftp setup and when i was done and set it back to dhcp it was given 203 while i was still thinking i was working from 10.0.0.143. and yes it was bugging me that i couldnt understand what was going on...

im logged into the web interface and was using ssh to access the switch at 10.0.0.252 but the switch is saying its ip is 10.0.0.203. i've reset and started the whole reset and update proces from scratch litterally a dozen times since changing the ip weeks ago with the latest being earlier...

didnt take me long to get lost again. im baffled. i've started the whole setup from the beginning multiple times but just found its still referencing the original ip i gave it weeks ago the first time (10.0.0.203) while im logged into web interface from ip i set yesterday? 10.0.0.252...

EDIT made it in. set password. sent write mem about 8 times. was able to get into serial and web. is there a way to backup this whole setup in a currently working state to revert back to this point when i screw it up again? im not really trusting it much at the moment since i didnt do...

im not sure if maybe i should have put googles 75.75.75.75 instead of the 10.0.0.1 (my isp gateway) and thats the lack of internet or not also not sure why but i cant access the web gui still through http or https. cant seem to ssh in either. serial seems to be the only way i can access the switch.

i've had my icx7250 working as just a basic switch for a few weeks since getting help here but when i came home this morning i could no longer get internet to anything i would plug into it, can not get access via ssh, or web gui. was able to get in using serial but no idea what im looking for...

at this point if my default gateway from isp is set to 10.0.0.1, the 7250 set to 10.0.0.202/24 my primary dns is set to 75.75.75.75 how would i want to enter that? ?

that got me through that step and into the step saying to move ethernet to normal port and enter next line and i get an error code 5. the instructions dont say to but im wondering if i should have also switched the pc ip back to its normal ip at this time instead of the example one.
