    Supermicro X9SPU-F Motherboard (No CPU & RAM) in CSE-847 chassis suddenly turns on/off repeatedly. What could be the issue?

    I've' managed to get ahold of a CPU and RAM and installed them. However it's still doing the same thing. It powers on and then powers off immediately. Does that reveal anything?

    Thanks, it does power on correctly with PS_ON shorted so does that mean the motherboard is probably faulty?

    Nope I didn’t update the IPMI. Also I can connect to the IPMI just fine but it just doesn’t boot, turns on for split second and turns off. I’ve tried isolating it electrically from the chassis and it’s still the same issue. Any other suggestions?

    I've tried switching around the front panel connector and it's the same issue. Either way I tried booting via IPMI and it's the same issue. Could it be something wrong with the motherboard?

    Doh, my dual M2 NVMe FireCuda drives can't inserted side-by-side due to heatsinks. What are my options?

    The dual M.2 slots on the Supermicro H12SSL-i motherboard are right up next to each other.
