I have proxmox -> pf sense vm and a windows client 1 wan, 3 ports as a bridge lan all of them using Virtio ran tests with iperf3 and was able to saturate the 2.5 gbps connection on both directions. I had to install realtek drivers for my pci-e 2.5 card on my windows machine.
