Mushkin Redline - DDR5 SODIMM - 96GB (2x48GB) 5200MHz CL-42-260-pin1.2V Desktop Ram - Non-ECC - Dual Channel - (MRA5S520HHHD48GX2)
been running stable for months, probably at least 6. current uptime 135 days after a power outage reboot a while back
I obtained the latest 1.25 bios from support, but when I am trying to flash it from UEFI shell I can't seem to actually get into the UEFI shell. I select the option from the bios menu, it briefly flashes the screen then returns right back to the menu. I can't seem to load the UEFI shell, any...
I had this same experience, one of my MS-01 units just straight died - wouldn't power on any more, blinking light on power brick. Tried the power supply on another machine and it worked fine there, tried that machine's power supply on the dead one and it was blinky and still dead machine...
I just clipped off the bulky plastic connectors with scissors and electrical taped the drives to underside of board so I would be able to screw the motherboards into the case standoffs. its been working fine.
I think its a mistake, I am not going to tear down my fully built ar900i systems to look but I don't recall any SFF-8643 connectors and I don't see any in pictures or marketing material. Granted, I may be fully retarded.
anything in the pci-e slot? I haven't had nvme drives drop out but had an issue with half the ram going missing until I tape the smbus pins on the pcie nvme adapter I was using
I've found that my problem seems intermittent, I seem to semi-reliably see the SFP+ ports normally on the first boot after plugging in the usb-c power input. subsequent reboots the ports are just missing like they don't power up. I'll try another power adapter or just hope it never needs to...
one of my MS-01 has been consistently locking up every day, the unit is powered up but the display output is frozen and doesn't respond to keyboard inputs, etc. and no network ping response. conveniently past the amazon return window
I think I am running into this now, which pin(s) need to be taped? is it 'B5' and 'B6' as I've read about other hba cards needing this treatment? would that be the 5th and 6th pins on the side with the m.2 drives, counting from left? (as in the picture)
*edit - it appears me taping the 5th and...
I've got some of these AR900i boards and when they arrived and as I'm trying to install them in 2U rackmount cases I'm finding that due to the plastic m.2 retention clips on the back of the motherboard that sit too proudly from the board, it does not sit flat in the case onto the itx case...
also pre-ordered one in january that I have not heard anything about. when they popped up on amazon i ordered 2 more and they showed up next day. basically i wont be ordering direct from minisforum ever again if i can avoid it
one is crucial one is mushkin, both have that dual m.2 low profile pcie card fully populated as well as all onboard slots and all 96G ram still show, no smbus taping here. the mushkin kit is slower i guess, not sure why its not running at 5200
