With doing more research it may be because I am using a dell 9020 mini tower, but yes I can feel the drives spinning up. I may have to do the tape trick. 4 Thanks

Yes I am using the megaraid software, and I had asked about the flashing because I didnt know if something had gone wrong.

Hello, Does anyone know why a h310 wouldn't recognize drives connected to it? Can I change/update flash the card in linux? or do I need to boot to freedos?

The dell expander is made for 12 drives but only two sff connectors going to the perc h710. l wish I could find a way to only power the dell expander, even just temporarily to pull the data.

Do you happen to remember what card you tried?

Ok, the card says pcie x16 3.0 so i guess it should be that in gpuz too. its crazy, ive been messing with computers for years and never really had this issue

Looks like it might not be saturating the x16 3.0. I saw in nvidia control panel it listed as pcie x16 3.0 So maybe its not able to max out the lanes?
