    for proxmox and other production based stuff i find my inter m720q is by far the best option. the intel nics and platform are better supported.

    both the athlon 300ge and ryzen 3400ge are 35w. gave it 15 mins and no boot. bad cpu sent it back for refund. already on latest bios too

    so got a 3400ge cpu to replace the athlon 300 in my m75q-1. issue is with the 3400 in i get no display and the fan just runs at full speed. put the athlon 300ge back in and its working fine. dud cpu or do i need to reset bios or something and try again?

    got a m75q gen1 coming. will try some mods on it and see if it can run modern cpu like 5700ge etc

    Check opnsense forums. Iv posted in there and they have the commands to run to bring up the live monitor that shows what's writing to disk

    i believe for me its caused by crowdsec and zfs itself. hostwatch was causing some writes too but i turned it off. iv got logging set to ram drive but i guess it still puts some stuff to flash.

    my opnsense sits around 1gb a day on writes. so even at 500gb per year a drive with 60tbw can get what 30 years out of it?

    Managed to find out what was causing the high disk writes. Host watch and crowdsec. Host watch was the main one which iv delt with now so will see how things go

    Same here managed to recover a 64gb nvme since flash is now expensive. Also is there a way in opnsense to see what is causing the writes to disk?
