Issue with SK Hynix PE9110 3.84TB E1.S NVMe

Hey, I purchased some SK Hynix PE9110 3.84TB E1.S drives recently, but I'm facing an issue with getting most of them to show up in our systems. I tried plugging one in with an E1.S to U.2 adapter into an MZ32-AR0 AMD EPYC Milan system, but the system just started hanging on boot and wouldn't...

More EPYC 4005 (Grado) CPUs available on Newegg

BTW, the Supermicro Java KVM does not need a license to use virtual media. Only when trying to mount virtual media via HTML5 console requires the license. ASRockRack is a lot more unreliable than Supermicro. I don't recommend AsRockRack unless it's your last option, you can look online about...

Weird NVMe Speeds with B650D4U and U.2

My solution back then was to switch from U.2 to M.2 drives and the issue went away. I started using H13SAE-MF boards after that since they had 9000 Ryzen support and we had no issues with them. However, recently, I ordered B650D4U again due to lack of availability of the Supermicro H13SAE-MF...

    AMD EPYC 9654 EMB?

It looks like it's all the same but I will double check! If it was an ES, the CPU string would report as EPYC Engineering Sample but in this case it just says AMD EPYC 9654 EMB

    AMD EPYC 9654 EMB?

Hey, I bought an AMD EPYC 9654 Retail unit on eBay. It booted fine, but it shows as "AMD EPYC 9654 96-core Emb Processor" All 96 cores and 192 threads is showing fine, but I would think that Emb would stand for Embedded, but that doesn't really make sense. Why is it named EMB? I've never seen...

The AMD EPYC 4004 is Finally Here and Intel Xeon E Needs an Overhaul

This has been out for almost a year already. It used to say Ryzen 7000 series on it. Now they just completely replaced it with EPYC 4004 series on the website, but it's the exact same board.

    AMD EPYC 7V13 64 core 128 thread $699

7B13 will be better because it uses the extra TDP to maintain its all-core boosts higher

    AMD EPYC 7V13 64 core 128 thread $699

According to my software it can only hit 240W (Linux + Windows) on MZ32-AR0 REV 1 flashed REV 3 So maybe it can be turned up to 280W if you set the TDP manually, I will need a day or 2 to test this

    AMD EPYC 7V13 64 core 128 thread $699

7C13 looks more similar to 7713, because 225W max TDP and 3.7 GHz boost clock 7B13 is more similar to 7763, because 280W max TDP and 3.5 GHz boost clock

    AMD EPYC 7V13 64 core 128 thread $699

For those looking for non-ES/QS processors, it looks like parts.cafe reduced their price to $995 ea for EPYC 7B13 (Google Cloud EPYC 7763 equivalent OEM CPU, not locked and does not report as ES in any way) https://www.ebay.com/itm/284858600506 AMD EPYC 7C13, which is a retail chip that was...

    AMD EPYC 7V13 64 core 128 thread $699

I'm not sure how strict Supermicro is with ES/QS but in theory it should work as long as it has a 7003 series BIOS (version 2.3 or newer on H12SSL-i). Always not a guarantee, but it is a late QS CPU so that increases your chances.
