Mainpage shows STH and logo, but now with "Serve the Home" below it. Trademark issues I presume? Another company using "STI"?

Realtek 10 GbE USB Adapters might be on the way?

The RTL8157 sees 4.85Gbps on a USB4 port, and 4.92Gbps on a PCIe Gen 3 1x adapter. So I would expect about 9.5Gbps on an appropriate USB/TB port and about 9.85 on a PCIe adapter.

VMWare Workstation Pro is free again (for personal use)

It's working today. 2 things that are different than the first time. - links to the "Personal Use" versions were not there before (now they are) - Broadcom demanded "additional verification" of who I was The "additional verification" consisted of my address, which was *not* required when I...

High Point Gen 5 NVMe raid - Rocket 1608A

Does anyone have a opinion on these new adapters from High Point? https://www.highpoint-tech.com/pr-pages/highpoint-launches-pcie-gen5-x16-nvme-switch It uses a Broadcom Gen 5 PCI switch and appears to limit the bandwidth to each SSD (or not)

    MinisForum BD790i User Experiences

Interesting. I have had mine unplugged for 24 hours while I tested other gear. I will see if the BIOS settings are lost as well. That usually points to a bad flash ROM. ****Same Issue**** I turned it back on and the settings and system date are all lost.

Minisforum MS-01 PCIe Card and RAM Compatibility Thread

According to your post you ordered on January 21, 2024. If that marker on your board is accurate, it was created on November 24, 2023. But if the fabber doesn't have all the components needed to start an assembly run, the boards will sit until all the parts arrive, or at least until CNY ended...

Minisforum MS-01 PCIe Card and RAM Compatibility Thread

Just for grins, see if there is a manufacturing date inside or outside your MS-01 somewhere. Usually on most boards there is a glossed stamp showing the day it was made. Usually in YY/MM/DD format. Sometimes in YYYY/MM/DD. I would like to see how long ago they were actually made before the...

Depends if you are in the US or the EU. The Panama Canal is suffering from low water and it is causing delays of a week to 2 weeks. Some freight is being offloaded and shipped by rail over the mountains and reloaded for a EU bound ship. Due to all the military activity in the Red Sea, some...

Minisforum MS-01 PCIe Card and RAM Compatibility Thread

My Minis Forum UM690 has a long boot time if it has been unplugged for a long time or if there is a peripheral change. The now gone MF discussion board said this was normal as the BIOS assumes there is a config change under these conditions and trains the buses. It does fool you as it takes a...

If you have one, put a metal plate between the dryer and your MS-01. The EM field of the dryer motor is causing the RF.

Probably because the response came from a fulfillment rep who has no knowledge of what is happening back at the factory. You asked about a SKU, the person looked it up and it showed out of stock with the next planned ship date. I think the PSU issue came from either the Discord or a...
