SM X11DPG-QT - not enough MMIO resources for SR-IOV

at least above 4G decoding enabled is a must have. enable ACS Control you may have to reinstall OS after enabling. Kernel opts: `intel_iommu=on iommu=pti pci=realloc,assign-busses` you need resources for every single VF. you run out of memory. edit: the X550 nic may have old formware (32bit)

C = confidential SKU for select customers L = large memory ??? not a C in brand string. haven't seen a 8251 retail/prod.unit sorry, ask them not me. slow is relative.

    CPU Usability Reality Check

the 8251 QS can be stepping A0 (step 5) not work in Intel& HP, they removed A0 microcode, so avoid. depends on what you want/need, 8251 = higher all core clocks.

sellers writes QS but shows retail to hide source of QS (the orig. receiver of ES can get penalties) they can write all you want on it. why they write QS ?

    CPU Usability Reality Check

you can't buy 'C' models from intel, they are only for qualified customers (ODM/OEM)

    CPU Usability Reality Check

can you provide CPU-Z screenshot ? there are B0 steppings around, QS with retail printing.
  12. R

    CPU Usability Reality Check

not in intel std. SKU database = custom SKU.

    CPU Usability Reality Check

8251 is QS of 8251C (QS = ES = Confidential) the 'C' means confidential, so the 8251 QS does not need the 'C'suffix.

generaly all LGA3647 processors have performance degrease with new microcode caused by solved security vulnerabilities by it.

    CPU Usability Reality Check

i ran a 8222CL in Dell T640 without BIOS changes. only the 8273CL may not work with newer microcodes in supermicro boards, all other work. 8259CL has performance issues with newer microcode in ASRock Rack motherboard. impossible, Dell BIOS is protected.

VRM modify ICC_MAX to run high TDC OEM cpu

single 1600W is enough, your challenge will be cooling of 2x 8252C if you run them at full load longer time.
