AMD EPYC 7C13 is a Surprisingly Cheap and Good CPU

Do we know what OEM or hyperscaler these were made for? I believe there are other not-retail Milan parts out there with different specs. I'd love to read a comparison of them, especially if someone is able to get their hands on them and test/benchmark.

Anyone running Linux on Supermicro EPYC H12?

I'm running Debian Sid (kernel 6.5) on one with no issues. I installed from the Bookworm ISO, which is the 6.1 LTS kernel IIRC. Are you running an Nvidia card? There was a stretch of time where the nouveau driver gave me fits with Nvidia cards, but Debian seems fine. Also had no issues with...

    AMD EPYC 7302p+ Supermicro H11SSL-i version 2

I suppose I should chime in. Purchased a Epyc 7R13 from this vendor, finally got it fully deployed. Couldn't be happier with the performance and stability. I also did not realize it was possible to get something from China so quickly without paying an arm and a leg for shipping

Intel Exiting the PC Business as it Stops Investment in the Intel NUC

This sort of cost-cutting strikes me as less about saving Intel's business, rather saving the stock price. Intel is never going to be a lean, mean ANYTHING but making a lot of noise trying will like help the stock in the short and perhaps medium term. Ironically, the NUC line was a good example...

Three New AMD EPYC Genoa-X SKUs with up to 48MB L3 cache per Core or 1.1GB Total

Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that. I figured that there must be a difference between "DDR5 Channels" and "DDR5 CHANNELS" that I was unable to comprehend

[FS] [US-CA] Rtx 6000 Pro Blackwell, Epyc 9184x (Dell locked), Epyc Siena CPU + Board combo, Kioxia CD6-R NVMEs, Omada APs

Not sure what I would use them for, but having the option of going up to x16 for some network cards would be nice. AIUI 100Gbe cards can generally run at 40G speeds, which would give me more options. If the x8 slots support bifurcation, could use that to connect a 2x NVMe card for zippy...

[FS] [US-CA] Rtx 6000 Pro Blackwell, Epyc 9184x (Dell locked), Epyc Siena CPU + Board combo, Kioxia CD6-R NVMEs, Omada APs

Those two ASROCK boards say they support one 3.0x16 and one 3.0x8. If that's at all accurate, you're underselling them! I'm tempted, but I don't have a project anywhere near ready to proceed using them. Take a free bump instead! Maybe if you still have them when I do decide to move on that sort...

Brocade ICX Series (cheap & powerful 10gbE/40gbE switching)

Ruckus has a boatload of PDFs available, you'll just need to create an account on their support site. I don't have my collection handy or I'd attempt to figure out which one has the most dhcpd setup information. A question of my own: The railkits if you can find them seem rather expensive. Does...

Huh, hadn't noticed that. While I'd still love to have the link to the current subforum at the bottom that could be useful

Breadcrumbs links at the bottom of the page

Other forums I'm on have a navigational footer, basically a stripped down version of the header. It's not a dealbreaker (I mean, I'm here...) but it is a nice QOL thing. Not every keyboard has a home key ;)
