I can test it tomorrow when I get home but 5mins at the most for it to show on the screen however if you have never used that adaptor or cable to get into any other switches before it might be your drivers and cable I use a win10 machine to get into my stuff. if its not configured your not gonna...
ok so if you want to try your username and password its been a minute for me but I dont think it starts right away if your connected with the console cable I think you either need to reload but i would do a wr mem first before doing that.
when you make any changes that you want to save yes do a wr mem and if you mess up just delete the startup config and reload the switch and go again, trial and error method if you want.
this has to be set correctly it needs to be your IP that your laptop is using if you static set it just look for the exact same IP in that list and select it and you should be good.
also make sure you use the port form your machine to go into the management port on the switch you can not just use any port to send files when your in bootloader.

Open the switch in putty, then keep putty up pull the power on the switch then plug it back in and bash the hell out of your B key and dont stop until you see it typed on your screen at that point you should be in the bootloader, when I do it I have one hand on my power cord and the other...
did you set an IP address for the switch and also have the TFTP device your using in the same subnet as the switch? connected to the management port has to be the management port if I remember correctly. for the first part before booting into the OS.
I deleted the licenses and then imported them again yesterday but still same thing I'll download it again when I get back home today, thank you for your help.
