    PM1725b U.2 SSD: Can't initialize the disk

I have seen this behavior before and it required a low level format to remedy issues with windows os.

Gold 6248 vs Platinum 8260 vs keeping Silver 4214

ok makes more sense, I was thinking 60 nvme at home

Gold 6248 vs Platinum 8260 vs keeping Silver 4214

As long as it gets the workload job done is all that matters.

Gold 6248 vs Platinum 8260 vs keeping Silver 4214

Honestly fans speeds will depend on workload but I run a few T640's and honestly the only reason to upgrade would be utilizing faster memory, more cores, and more L1/L2/L3 cache. Wow 60 disk NVME box (what type of hardware) T640 Dual Gold 5218's (16c 125w) 12-rdimm 8-12TB SAS Drives and idle...

Serial number on drive and the screenshot are the same. I suspect that the SN200 has tuneable endurance like the SN640/840.

looks like he corrected the listing as 3.84TB @ $180 each and sold quickly.

You are 100% correct, I just finished updating all of ones I got to MP33 I typically test mine with the manufacturers tools designed for the task and then test them using Scrutiny which provides a nice UI that shows more info than a standard SMART test.

    Enterprise SSD "small deals"

Yes it did. For those of you who bought some of these I just finished testing all these drives and 10 of them fail via Scrunity for a high amount a Command Timeout errors and 2 of them get a clean bill of health. From my research there appears to be a bug in the firmware MP32 and earlier and...

I dunno but that quirk coupled with the fact if I ever actually had to RMA them I was getting QLC drives as replacements sealed the deal for me to let them go while I could still get the best capital for them.

    Enterprise SSD "small deals"

Yeah I hit paydirt with that purchase because the eBay seller was clueless/lazy/just a nice guy because when they arrived 7 of them tested just fine but 1 of them was not detected by the server. I let the seller know that 1 was DOA but I was gonna try to open a RMA with Crucial to get it...

Not really because I sold 8 MX500 4TB's that I paid $100 each for 8 months ago that covered almost the entire cost of the new drives. So in reality I have about $70 per drive invested in them.

    $130 each.

Looks like you got one drive that was used minimally and one that was likely a HS drive and was never needed so almost nothing was written to it. In all likelihood these drives will die of old age long before many even get close to that TBW

7999473148 LBA's written equates to roughly 3.8TB/512k and 29TB/4096k, These drives are rated for 8400TB so I highly doubt anyone is gonna wear one out anytime soon.

So virtually no usage, not surprising he cherry picked a newer drive for his listing. I still don't have a tracking number for my 12 so we will see what shows up.
