I recently bought a 12x 3.5" hdd supermicro backplane that has 3 molex connections on the back that I was planning on powering with one of the two ATX PSUs I have laying around.
I assumed I could use a molex cable with 3x molex connectors on it to power the backplane but it turns out neither...
i contacted the seller and he said he had an issue with his supplier and that this wasnt an isolated incident. He refunded me fully and let me keep the drive. so thats pretty cool. I was just planning on using it to store games that are easily replaceable if the drive craps out so nbd.
The seller on ebay had the generic description, aka not descriptive of the condition at all just had the model number and stated it was in refurbished condition. But other users (from r/buildapcsales) who had bought from this seller had reported lifespans of 70%+ so I feel a bit gypped...

How do you guys check the endurance and how much life is left on the drive?
When I run fio-status.exe -a I get this result: Rated PBW: 20.00 PB, -6.23% remaining -6.23% remaining doesn't seem right.
