I had the same behavior when a pair of 8-pin connectors (with 1 PSU) were connected not to the top connectors themselves, but to those lower down (i.e. incorrectly)

Are you planning on creating a new thread for the ASUS Pro WS W890E-SAGE SE with GNR-SP Xeon-6 LGA4710? I saw in the processors thread that you responded to ES samples of the GNR-SP. I think this board will also be very popular, and I'd like to learn more about it ;)
All my BMC settings are - OFF, I do not use this functionality at all. Now I use 10G lan card from Asus on Aquantia AQC107 and all is fine.
I've seen reports that if the board warms up, the problem with Intel LANs disappears, as if it were a problem with the resistors, similar to the one that...
Has anyone had problems with 10G Intel network cards? Sometimes they don't initialize when I turn on the PC. The orange light flashes for a second, then there's silence? I found similar cases in Internet. I'll try a different router and cables but this same cable works fine in other PCs, though...

I just want to figure out what the H connector is for. I understand that it powers the board's components, but the G connector's wiring appears to be different, since connecting it doesn't clear the message about connecting the G connector. The board's manual doesn't explain the H...
I tested it. If I don't connect the G connector, a message will appear on the POST screen with warning you to connect the G connector. If the G connector isn't connected, but only the H connect, this message will also appear on the POST screen.
I have a question about PSU connecting.
By default, the power supply is connected to the "F" connector. Is it possible to connect a single PSU to the "E" connector? As I understand it, the 8-pin CPU connectors will need to be moved to "B" and "D" or can they be left in "A" and "C"?
And another...
Good question, but what if to connect a weaker power supply to the motherboard and a more powerful one to the video cards? One 850 Will be enough for the CPU.
Hi everyone in 2026, what's your temperature difference between cores under full CPU load? I have 20 cores, and one core has a 20°C temperature difference. I tried changing the thermal paste and cooling system, but this did not change the situation, apparently this is a feature or this core...
@RolloZ170
Yah, but it was about my LGA3647 3175X (I will attach a screenshot from hwinfo below).
OMG! I didn't even realize the Mesh consumes so much! I lowered it from x27 to Auto and got -55W at idle. (By the way, the CMD commands didn't change anything, consumption didn't change, so the...
I noticed that when the processor is idle, its consumption is at 150 watts, which is clearly too much for 3535X. The BIOS was configured to default settings. I tested this on two freshly installed Windows 10 systems, with no unnecessary background processes running. I encountered a similar...
Thx for the clarification about core QTY both of you :)

I see you've been working on this topic for a while, regarding memory settings, could you share your timings? Also, specify which voltages need to be increased to increase the memory frequency and decrease the timings, as the...
Has anyone tuned the memory to achieve throughput over 300 Gbps on 8 channels? I've seen results close to 380 Gb/s, but so far I've only managed to get a stable 303 Gb/s at 6800 Mhz. Perhaps this is influenced by the number of cores; I don't have many, only 20.

Take any other processor and try it. I bought the cheapest one for $100 and everything worked, but the symptoms were similar to yours. I think 99% of the time the problem is in your processor.
Tell me, the 3V battery in ASUS W790 SAGE SE board is not in the usual place, under the radiator of the backplate panel and not in a special cradle. The question is, if the battery dies, will the board work? Some boards of this class do not even start if the battery dies. I wonder if it is worth...

Technically yes, but as a rule, new boards are released for such eventы; in the desktop segment this is even the norm. A good reason to show the work of marketers and once again sell “the same thing” and get additional profit for the manufacturer.
