versions 2.33.5 LTS and 2.36.0 STS included a fix to enable Docker 29 compatibility with Portainer
I confirmed this is working after backing out the DOCKER_MIN_API_VERSION workaround.
According to the Home Assistant integration, it only uses TP-Link Cloud for authentication. Data stays in your (W)LAN.. it has no ethernet port.

I was searching for the same thing, and ran into similar problems as others (too expensive, and many had high idle power draw).
I went with a TP-Link HS300, which integrates perfectly with Home Assistant (you only need the phone app for initial setup).
