That's incorrect. VRTX does support non Dell SAS drives. The drive just needs to support SAS reservations.

I’ve had really high failure rates so far on the 2933 32GB sticks.
No RMA other than buying new ones and “returning” the old ones.
I ended up making an offer and seller accepted.
Looks like I’ll have more 40Ge ports in the lab.

I’ll pull 4 sticks out of one system and try it on an E5 V3’s system. Dell is generally good about memory compatibility so your mileage vary.
Unless patrick snags one.. I may be interested in the 100GbE. Are these ON units with ONIE, or strictly Quanta / BCM fastpath?

I had the same problem with 2 bNDCs.
Dell ended up warranting it even though it wasn’t the originals.
I once only had the option of procuring a 30A PDU in time... even though my circuits in the DC was 20A L6... Had to get some well specced pigtails...
A lot of people here I believe run colos or have 208V hookup. Especially for people that run dense clusters.

no, Intel consumer platforms other than the occasional HEDT platform can run ECC, and usually only ECC UDIMMs
