From what I'm finding, they are all 10g, 40G and 100G or am I missing something? I just need 48p 1Gb PoE and about 4 10Gb SPF ports for my use which is why I went with the 7250 (and the price lol, I got one for under $100).
So far (45mins running at idle) I'm getting temps stable around 71.5...
Well I put 1 of the original fans back in and 2 of the new quieter ones and put it back in the rack and I can boot and use it because it sees the 1 original fan as working. Gonna let it sit idle for an hour and check temps. So far its at 66.5 deg-C and 23.5 deg-C so ill keep an eye on it and see...
You've got to be kidding, I need a bunch of integrated circuits and an oscilloscope just to tell this switch that the fans I got are running?
This might not have been the best purchase I guess... I just wish the stock fans weren't so bad with noise and vibrations, otherwise this switch is...
I did find that out and swapped the wires so I know they are getting power and they are blowing in the right direction. I can feel the airflow and see all 3 fans spinning. In fact I can hear them go full blast when I first plug it in (Speed 2) and then as I watch the boot process, they calm down...
So I got 3 of the NMB-MAT 1608VL-04W-B69-B00 fans that were suggested in this thread and got them all wired in and they are running full blast no problem! Great!,But now I have a new issue, even though all 3 fans are working and they blow a ton of air, I keep getting and error in the usb...
Oh trust me, I believe you, I run 140mm fans in my desktop and it's whisper quiet even under load but I don't want to mangle the switch for cooling lol, maybe if these fans don't end up cooling it enough.
Good news is, with the wiring suggested by @RoachedCoach, they are working! So now I just...
Lmao, I saw that post a while back and thought "Jesus I hope I don't have to do this haha, I got a patch panel right above it so I do technically have room, but I might want to resell this switch one day and don't want a giant hole in it lol
Thanks! I'll give that a shot tomorrow and see what happens! If it works (with the temporarily spliced wires to old connector) Ill oorder some new tips and pin crimps and wire the 3 new ones properly. I ended up ordering the NMB-MAT 1608VL-04W-B69-B00 from digikey as per this post...
Hey all, I'm trying to replace the fans on an ICX7250-48P with a set that was recommended on this forum topic but they don't turn on. The originals work fine but they have a real high pitched whine that was driving me bonkers... I tried checking to find the fan header pinout polarity on here but...
