These machines tend to show up on ebay after 3-5 years of service as companies start to rotate them out, so the M720Q and related models are at the timeframe where they're getting cheap enough to play with while also still being decently performant.
In a few years, I wouldn't be surprised if...
Agreed, I think this thread has outgrown it's original purpose. I've suggested making separate threads for similar gens (6/7th, 8/9th, AMD Ryzens, etc.) to make the discussions more focused and relevant.
Well aside from the OP here, there's also Wifi's tiny-secrets repo which has collated tons...
Where can I read more about this, can you send the link to it here? I have a M75Q-1 with a 3400GE, and from what I've read from both Lenovo docs and anecdotes, the Gen 1 can't run 4/5000 CPUs. If it's possible to upgrade, that would be great so I can continue using my M75Q for a few more years.
I'm not sure if it has improved for the more recent gens, but I remember reading reports of some older Tinys (P320 or P330) crashing when the Yeston 3050 is running intensively. The problem is the 3050 is trying to pull the full 75W from the PCIE slot, but the motherboard itself wasn't adequate...

Overclocking is not available in the BIOS, but I saw...
Hello all, I've been checking this thread for a while and I currently have a M75Q and P330, it's been very helpful. I only wish that the thread was further separated (maybe one thread for 2-3 generations?) so the discussions are more specific. With 75 pages of information, it seems like this has...
