I have a question can you run an ip scanner and look for sx6036. If you find it i would bet you have a bad configuration i messed one of mine up by deleting license and was in ethernet mode and I thought I bricked my switch. Very similar problem to yours i posted in another section on how to fix.

I bought 2 sx6720 no license installed. To me way louder then sx6036 but control plane is faster. The sx6710g is gateway so has license installed same as sx6036g.

You need to make sure you get the x86 firmware for sx1410 not power pc. Also I think they are the same between models i.e sx1710 sx1720 sx1410. As for image I bought a usb2ssd on Amazon to make image of sx1720 worked great. If you have. Img file you can use linux dd or in windows lots of free...

I bought 2 sx6720 switches changed msata drives update firmware to latest. Everything is working fine except power supply fans are running at 14k rpm is that normal?
